Reporting a mistake

If a result looks wrong, please tell us. It helps if you include:

• the calculator you used, or its web address
• the numbers you typed in
• the result you saw and the result you expected
• a link to the official page you are comparing against, if you have one

We check every report against the official source. If we find an error, we fix it and update the page.

What we cannot help with

We cannot give personal financial, tax or legal advice, and we cannot see or change your tax record. For questions about your own tax, contact HMRC. For free, impartial money guidance, try MoneyHelper.

Please do not send private details

Do not email us your National Insurance number, bank details, passwords or copies of payslips. We never need them.
